House rules
Short, because there is not much to it: money decides rank, the roaster punches at products and never at people. Payments are generally final; refunds and disputes adjust the rank.

Rank is money, and only money
Listings are ordered by the lifetime sum paid against a URL. Nothing else counts — not votes, not recency, not how much we like you. Two listings on the same total are split by whoever paid first.
Minimum entry is $5. To take rank N you must pay enough to exceed the current holder’s total. Pay less and you land wherever your total earns. Paying again on the same URL tops up your total rather than replacing it.
Rank is never stored. It is recomputed from the ledger on every request, so a payment that clears is visible immediately and a payment that does not clear changes nothing.
Payments and disputes
Payments are generally final. Refunds and disputes adjust the rank. Being outbid is the product working, not a fault.
If a payment is taken twice for the same checkout session, that is a bug and we will fix it — the ledger is idempotent on the session id specifically so that cannot happen.
What the roaster may say
Roasts target products, landing pages, marketing copy and categories. Never a person. No named individuals, no appearance, no identity, no nationality, no religion, no gender, no health, no slurs, no threats.
Every roast passes a moderation check before it is published. A roast that fails the check is replaced with a safe fallback rather than published and cleaned up later.
Takedowns make the roast nicer
Ask us to remove a roast and we will not delete the listing — we will regenerate the roast at the kindest tier and lock it there. The listing keeps its rank and its money.
If a roast breaks the rule above and targets a person, that is different: it comes down immediately and we look at why the moderation check let it through.
Re-roasting
Anyone can pay $1 to make the roaster try again on any listing, including one that is not theirs. That is the point. Limit 3 per listing per hour, so nobody can grind a listing into the ground in one sitting.
Roasts also regenerate on their own when a listing crosses a tier boundary — including downward, when somebody else outbids you.
What we do with links
Outbound links carry rel="nofollow sponsored", because they are paid placements and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Clicks are counted in aggregate. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell anything about you.
